The Process
Tonemapped original Boat file in Photomatix Pro 3
All following done in Photoshop CS5
Cut out roughly original boat file and pasted onto Stock Background.
Used Free Transform tool to re-size and rotate into desired perspective.
Cut out the outline of the boat fully piece by painful lil piece,each selection feathered by a single pixel.
Blended water edge into background.
Added fake boat shadow,lens blurred it and reduced Opacity.
Cloned out rope.
Flatten all layers.
Converted to Black & White in Silver Effex Pro.
Added a Levels contrast adjustment to overall image.
Some selective burning to background to darken some areas.
Re-sized and sharpened to 900 pixels.

Belated thank you Jimmy and tonemapping is an editing technique associated with HDR photography,it basically helps bring out more detail in an image,most notably those shot in RAW format...some background info here [link]

You clever little *b----r*. Wonderful photo manipulation. What struck me immediately was this tired and broken old sea boat sitting on cracked and broken earth. The shot being in black and white really "punches the message home". Yet for all that I do not find the shot depressing but intriguing.
