I'm writing this comment in June 2012, over two years after I created this.
Lately I've been thinking about who I am and how I've changed as an artist. Looking back at previous achievements, and trying to understand how I've changed.

I think one major change I've undergone is that I no longer spend many days working on a single piece, the way I did with this work. I lavished attention on the level of detail here that I've not repeated in anything else I've created, which is a shame I suppose.

I hope that the next time I take some time to reflect on this, that I'll be able to say that I've created more artwork as intensive and as satisfying as this was for me.
