I finally got myself a digital camera ! I usually paint and it has been a bit hard to find scanners big enough to fit paintings like this one.I'm making a series of old rockstars and this one is the first. I've got a Jimi Hendrix under construction and a few ideas on a Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
I think I will call them The JimBobs when I'm finnished, comes natural I think...

this is incredible! i love the colors and textures in his face.. almost looks like he's made of marble. the composition is excellent and much more interesting than a traditionally framed " face in the center" approach. beautifully subdued color palette as well.
...and i'm always impressed by people who have the patience to work in oils...
