Description
This is my new graphite drawing of Liverpool and Spain superstar striker Fernando Torres El Nino.This drawing is on Derwent A4 170g/m.
Tools used Pencils 2h,2b,4b,6b,8b,putter eraser,stump and tissue paper.
This is the first drawing i have produced since joining this website and i can honestly say it has helped tremendously.

Great work, quite a realistic portrait. Good choice of subject.
Although the hair looks a little bit plastic. May be a little bit of lack of detail between your strong lines.
This seems to be a picture which shows a lot of time in the shading, quite different from my own style, personally I dont draw photo realistic.
There is a lot of contrast in the eyes which works, it really draws us in to the emotional centre of the picture.
Possibly lacks a little depth through the cheeks though, maybe a little bit more shading down our right hand side of the picture.
But over all great proportion and nice emotion.
Well done and keep them coming.

i thought that too but this site has helped loads its not as hard as it looks just a few good tools and a bit of practice.

I really like the close cropped composition. It creates interest and draws the viewer in.
Looks like you did a good job on the proportions.
You did a really nice job of capturing the lines and character of the model. He has a great countenance to his face.
You have a beautiful range of values here with plenty of contrast.

Looks good. I like the eyes. Good dimension on the lips and nose. The shading makes them look perfect.
