Description
"it's the last unicorn!"I did this a few weeks ago, but didn't post until now for some reason..
I saw The Last Unicorn and wanted to do a fanart to draw the character and work with the linearts and colours as they are in the movie because I think the original is awsome<3
I guess it didn't turn out very much fun but I still like the lineart.
The movie is so sad and beautiful. Darn... ;___; <3

Lovely!
Just wondering, is that a tear by the unicorn's eye?

Thank you
Ah no, it's actually just a little blush-mark (you know, like some manga-characters sometimes have) ^u^

I haven't seen the movie but I like this picture very much
The colours are wonderful and I love how you've worked with the frame and how things move outside of it.
The flow of all that hair is gorgeous *___*
It's really, really pretty ^_^

oh, I'm glad you do C:
ah yes, I like working with things sticking out of the frames
I think it has something to to with my facination for art nuveau..
You should watch the movie sometime, btw. It's really magical and sad - like Disney but with a lot less grease on it XD

If the title is how she sparkles, you could put a few sparkles in her hair or something...she doesn't sparkle or shine or anything. Pretty otherwise.

Well, the title was more a reference to the themesong from the movie ~ "..You can see it, how she sparkles - it's the last unicorn.".
As I said in my comments, I was trying to follow the movie-looks when drawing it, and she doesn't actually *sparkle* in the movie, though they sing about it anyway. I think it's more about her pure soul or something like that. I guess it could be nice with some sparkles or glowing light or something, though I never thought of it 'cause I wanted to point to the nighttime darkness of the movie since that's what I like the most about it.. Thanks anyway. I appreciate your thoughts, it really had me looking again at my work

This has been my favorite movie since I was 5 years old. Very nice picture. I think the line-art and the colors are just fine.

Yeah, it's a really sweet movie. I never saw it when I was a kid (it was made before me so I totally missed it somehow, haha ) but I bet it would have been my favourite too <3

The movie itself was actually made a year before I was born too. But when you're 5 and obsessed with horses... ( I watched a lot of She-rah and Rainbow Brite too ) ...an animated movie about unicorns is all you see, and you don't care how long ago it was made. My dad dubbed it for me onto a tape that sadly, I watched to death. When I became older, and read the actual book... the storyline of the film meant a lot more to me. When it was re-released onto DVD, I was amazed at all the little details in things that I never noticed in the artwork because of youthful blindness and the increasing fuzziness of age on my worn old copy. I would love to see this film in a theater... maybe even a 3-D one... to see all those tapestries pop out and come to life... wow... *sighs*

Yeah, I can imagine that <3 I wonder why I never came across it before.. but now that I think about it - I don't know if it was ever released in Sweden.. hm, perhaps that's why I never saw it >_>? oh well, I know about it now <3
Yeah totally, tLU in 3D would be really really cool!

Ååhhh! Filmer som den görs inte längre! En av de vakraste filmer jag någonsin sett! Och det finns inte på långa vägar tillräckligt med fanart till den! <3 TACK för att du gjorde denna fina bild! Vackra Lady Amalthea! *MYSER*

Ja, det är verkligen en bra film - hela storyn är så fin och vemodig, så där som bara en del riktigt gamla sagor är, på något sätt.. Har du möjligen läst boken, förresten? Jag visste inte ens att det var en bok förren för några dagar sen, fast det borde man kanske ha fattat, hm;;;
