Description
This is a digital painting and part of my thesis. Everything done in Photoshop. It has a symbolic vibe to it and there are many viewpoints I can see it from. I've been thinking about wisdom, it's something that people reach out to find and through history it has always been quite a mystery, something very intuitive and only found by some. I think wisdom is the most valuable thing people can find in their lifetime.
Some say from a religious point of view the picture brings forth the concept of mercy quite well. To me, as an artist, the picture is most of all about the process of finding something absolute, this could be translated to inspiration, ideas and understanding of the craft which I feel could lead me to the direction I've wanted to go. During my studies all of these seem something I've just subconsciously gathered around and somehow had end up with. I hope I could find this kind of source that could offer the things I need and end this process of searching, which I see happening in the picture.
I've felt the urge to delve deeper and deeper with the subject to find something new and maybe explain to myself some thoughts that have bothered me. The process of making this picture got little beyond me and because I can find so many interpretations for it, I didn't want to give it a name that would point the viewers to any certain direction with their outlooks. I named it simply 'Triangle' because it symbolizes things that are beyond me, and because of the way I can't decide what the picture is ultimately about.
