I thought to myself "Hey, I'm a big Midna fan, but there's not much Midna pictures in my gallery... TIME TO FIX THAT!" And then I made Link and Midna hug each other.

Zelda was good friends with Midna and sacrificed herself to save Midna. At the end of Twilight Princess, it is strongly implied that the secondary reason Midna steps aside is so Link can have Zelda.
