Thank you for sharing! I wasn't familiar with the Korat, but now I wonder if Nicholai [link] might not be part Korat. According to Wikipedia, he has most of the characteristics including green eyes and a heart shaped skull. When we got him we thought he was part Chartreux or a mix with Russian Blue, but unlike Newton he meows loudly (like a Siamese actually), he's a lot heavier despite being smaller, he's darker and he's very playful. I think Nicholai is probably a Chartreux or a Chartreux mix with Russian blue or Korat, but it is difficult to be sure about that...

Newton is mostly Chartreux, he has the vet's word on that and could possibly be purebred, only we adapted him from a shelter and he had no paperwork. He is very athletic, long and sleek, and can chew through a 2 cm thick cedar branch with a few bites. Nicholai has a tiny mouth, though the fur on his cheeks makes his face look wider, and he is incredibly compact. When you pick him up he does not look like he should weigh as much as he does, and his meow is very much like a Siamese when he gets into it. Of course he was none of these things when we adopted him from the shelter as a kitten. I'll ask the vet on his next visit, perhaps she'll have an opinion. Thank you for giving me this avenue to explore
