Kirkjufell, Iceland
Aurora Borealis over the famous Kirkjufell peak outside of Grundarfjordur, Iceland. The skies cleared up just in time to view the aurora for an hour or so. I loved this town and wish we could've stayed longer. Hopefully next time!

Another great one! BTW there was an x-class solar flare directed at earth last night, and a CME Monday which is hitting us today, so there is a good chance to see the Aurora in Washington tonight!

Actually this will be world wide we just avoided a major bullet from the sun. But the aurora may be visible down to the 45th parallel or southern equivilent. So you might want to get your tripod out LOL I would- probably will except we are covered in smoke from the Cascade fires.
