Description
After a long summer, Julie's jaw had finally been unwired, which meant she could tell everyone how her file had been entirely tampered with. But instead of being released at once, she only got to be moved to a thinner, more ergonomic body cast, as the doctors weren't sure which of her bones were still damaged, and Julie was once again left up for analysis.
A couple days laying flat in bed later, Julie received a phonecall from the school she works in. They knew about her state and bargained with the hospital so they would let her get back to work several weeks earlier than expected. It was up to the woman whether she would take the opportunity or not.

The class was full. Rumours came and went throughout the well populated hallways. Some said Teacher Julie was coming back today, others said she couldn't possibly ever come back. All the speculative chattering and impulsive teenage chaos came to a halt when the classroom door suddenly opened. It didn't take long for a young man dressed as an orderly to come in. It seemed like he was pulling the breaks on something that was resting outside the room. He stepped out once again, and for everyone's surprise, he came back in, wheeling Julie with him. She was very different from when they had last seen her, now standing upwards, but still completely immobilized beneath solid plaster. The orderly pushed her to the center of the room just before whispering something in her ear, to which she responded with a smile and a friendly wink, and left, giving place to a crushingly awkward moment of dead silence.
Julie could see everyone in front of her, even though her whole body was locked in an uncomfortable angle to look through. The dozens of faces, simultaneously staring in awe at their beloved teacher. Encased from head to toe, strapped down to a reclinable gurney, in the dead center of every present person's focus.
To break the silence, the teacher lightly cleared her throat and tried to engage in a small talk with thirty or so of her students:
-A'hem. So... did you guys miss me? Because I missed you all so much!
-We did, Ms. Hanzsdöttir. We missed you a lot -Voiced a girl in the front, shortly followed by numerous 'yeahs' and 'hm-hms' of approval from her peers.
-I'm glad to be back, you know? Summer's almost over... tho it still feels hotter than ever. Now come on! Speak up, what's new? -Said the woman, realizing how astonished the kids were at the moment -It's not like I'm gonna bite you. It's not like I even could if I wanted right now, hehehe!
The whole class laughed along, and slowly they started refamiliarizing with the situation, and the chattering and enthusiastic yelling came back all at once.
-Good! That's the class I know! Now... does anyone here volunteer to be my board assistant? I can't exactly write on my own yet.

Finally another Julie chapter, who I was eager to write about. I finished the art a month or two ago, so the story wasn't supposed to take this long to unravel.
As I said on my last post, I spent most of my summer vacation dealing with several personal problems (which meant not many sweaty casted chicks this summer), but now I'm way better and ready to keep on doing what I love to do. Anyways, hope you all liked it, and as always, let me know what you think and what you'd like to see next.
