I am a fan of creativity and style (obviously) But I do agree with most that the new ThunderCats designs are forced and not organic (meaning I do not think they picked a style that suits the characters, but picked a popular style and forced it onto those characters)
HOWEVER, This is how I would lay out a character likeΒ
Lion-O. Given, this is my style,but the character deserves some level of respect and grit. IMO. Anyways, hope you enjoy. Thanks for taking a peak.
