Backstory: Long ago, there was a war between the Star Warriors and NME. NME was not only looking to conquer the galaxy, but for Jewel's hand in marriage. Knowing that Jewel was in grave danger, her parents, Queen Stella and King Stone, declared war on NME. The star warriors won the war, but at the cost of many, many lives, including the King and Queen themselves. Distraught over this, her older brother Onyx ran away to join Sir Arthur's Resistance Group. Meta Knight, the last remaining Star Warrior, was able to rescue the young princess and get her to safety. During their journey to find hope, Jewel started to fall in love with Meta Knight, but did not have the courage to tell him how she felt about him. They finally made it to Dreamland, and decided to stay there and wait for the young warrior to arrive...that warrior was Kirby. Meanwhile, The two found themselves working undercover for the evil King Dedede. Meta Knight worked as Captain of the Royal Guard, and Jewel worked as a the Head Chef in the Royal Kitchen. Jewel eventually became friends with Tiff and Tuff, and they would always hang out whenever she had time off. King Dedede, however, had fallen in love with Jewel, and vowed to do anything to get her.
