contrast - not just in tone, which there's great dark/light contrast, but also in texture since there's a wide focal range.

i don't like abstract for the most part, but i personally like this piece because it's sharp and has great contrast. it's recognizable, as simple water droplets, but since they're forced at you up close and you have to focus on them, it should let you start to think of them different and take it in whatever direction you want. i wouldn't really call this photo abstract, but that's just me. it is an abstracted idea, for you to do what you want with.
but i think it's good technically, with good sharp focus and contrast and composition. the rest is up to you!
