Part of the "Portraits of Castlevania" series of drawings."THE WORLD!!!!" "Toki no Tomare!" XD
I decided I had time for another little request, so I drew Zephyr. Zephyr is a pretty neat Boss that appears in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, as well a in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (as a secret optional boss).
This boss is interesting not only because it's got Time-Stopping powers, but also because all of its mannerisms, and a lot of his attacks, greatly resemble those of Dio Brando from a different series altogether (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).
I tried to make the coloring match the sprite, while making the face be a little expressive, haha.

god this is a hard boss to beat, in fact i still haven't defeated him. who knew that dio bran-i mean zephyr yeah thats right zephyr << >>

I love the influence of Dio Brando and also of Jotarou's Star Platinum in this. His expression's awesome!

It was very apperently a tribute to dio when you played against him. But something i hadnt noticed while playing but now see is that his shirt... thing, looks a lot like what the character souther (aswell as raoh in some parts) wears in fist of the north star(a manga that greatly influenced jojos bizarre adventure)
Might just be a coincidense but id like to think it isnt

No that character is homaged in Goliath from Order of Ecclesia far closer. Yeah you mean the studded armor.
I made Zephyr's face resemble Dio's.

Well I meant the moves and skills. Very much Dio from jojo series 3.
The other castlevania games in rescent times also has a bunch of jojo references.
I have yet to play the latest 2 games in the series for DS.

It's certainly fun to watch him use that time stop move... but it's best to be sure that you're not standing under any of the falling knives when he returns time to normal.
