The Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is a new Police faction that appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. They face the Mercs on Raid, Aftermath and Express . They appear in the mission "Cordis Die", fighting the mercenaries in the streets of downtown Los Angeles.

On June 19 2021, the social media outlet "Cordis Die" revealed "Incontrovertible Evidence" that the United States Government was responsible for the cyber attack that crippled the Chinese Stock Exchange. Outraging China's Premier Chen. In response the U.S. Government takes out Cordis Die's various networks.

On July 02, 2021, at 8:16pm. Cordis Die revealed on the video-sharing website YouTube, that the Director of the FBI was found dead in his apartment by police. In the video, he was found dead in a chair, with his body burned alive. Although it is never revealed who was responsible, it is implied that Cordis Die, or its supporters were either heavily involved, or directly responsible for the FBI Director's death
