My favourite print I made for Fan Expo, and an ode to my childhood passion, TMNT! The four turtles, plus Rasputin, Napoleon, and Ray Fillet traipsing through a swamp, while Leatherhead and Armaggon lurk behind them.Watercolour and Gouache.

Been awhile since I've looked at this piece, but it really is one of the best pieces of TMNT fan art I've ever seen. And I LOVE seeing the Punk Frogs in a featured role. I probably wouldn't have even spotted Leatherhead if you hadn't pointed him out hiding in the swamps.

I realize this comment is over two years old, so sorry for the delayed reply! And, unfortunately, I can't remember. I think they're all different types of turtles, though. I seem to recall looking up different turtles' appearances and then assigning one to each of the four TMNTs.

wow, i'd love to own the original of this. its one of the greatest fan renditions i've ever seen. they say a picture is worth a thousand word, well this one has to be worth 3000 words. it's like a movie within a painting.

Thanks! I'd like to look into comics eventually (mostly covers, I currently work too slow to take on a monthly book), but for the time being I'm occupied doing illustrations for magazines and newspapers (that work is here: www.joribolton.com).
Keep an eye out! I'm slowly building up a portfolio of more realistic work like this TMNT piece, and in a year or so when that's ready I'll be pursuing comics and gaming work.
