It is possible to make art for a living.
The last bit should be written:
"You may not make money off art
nor can you do it for a living,
But make sure from time to time
create something for someone..."

I was hoping that the "may" would apply to the 2nd idea. Thank you for the critique, I will keep this in mind next time I write up something similar!

I have always enjoyed the metaphor that motivation is like a drink or food. Motivation is constantly fleeting, the only way to overcome it is perseverance and discipline.
