Description Illustration number one for my friend Cederien , it's showing his D&D character Romana, a gold elven mage.

I put tons of hours into this one, especially the landscape is still giving me headaches, I hope you like it non the less!

'Tis most beautiful, my lady!Β  Why though, doeth she bear a sword?Β  Aside from Gandolf, I never knew a wizard to carry one.

Maybe you just don't know enough mages then. She carries a sword for the same reason she also carries a sling. It never hurts to have some backup. That aside she does have a some martial training (read as a few fighter levels) to help with it.

Um...on Krynn, it is against the rules of the Wizards of High Sorcery to carry anything but a staff or a dagger, and their spellbook.

Cederien In reply to Geoffryn [2015-12-10 06:44:38 +0000 UTC]

Ah yes... didn't always work out for them though. Actually: "The traditional weapons of the Order are the staff, in commemoration of the staves the gods of magic gave their students at the Lost Citadel, and the dagger, in commemoration of Magius, who fell to dishonorable foes, having no weapon to defend himself."
So the rules or at least conventions were once even stricter and the Order found out the hard way that some secondary armament might be a good idea. If they survive long enough it's likely they will come to realized more then Dagger might be even better.

At any rate being a FarΓ»nian Gold Elf Romana does not know anything about Krynn or the Order of High Sorcery. Nor now would she care if she knew. Like so many gold elves she has a pretty clear opinion about everything made/created or just dominated by humans.

I see.Β  Well, my 14th Level White Robe, Jasryn Storm (apprentice of Palin Majere) once summoned Drizzt DUrdin from Forgotten Realms, to help investigate a missing dwarf and a chaos dragon in the ruins of Thorbardin...turned out a few hundred drow were lairing down in Theibardin, and an archwizard had made himself at home in the old Black Robes' citadel, after forsaking the Spider Queen in favor of Nuitari.

Drizzt ran Incendria through with a Dragonlance (with a little protective help from Jasryn) and was immediately sent back to Toril--he is now the only person in forgotten Realms in possession of a Dragonlance!

THAT was one fine campaign!

I am currently working on my apprentice wizard, Geoffryn Kaladon, in Forgotten Realms...native of Iriaebor, heir to a wizard's tower and a secret vault containing a LOT of magical artifacts...Rezmir is after him, as the only living Kaladon, so she can present all those artifacts to her Queen when she comes up from Hell....!

One of the good things I noticed, is that my staff, which is a +1 weapon as well as my arcane focus, adds +1 to the DC of all of my spells!Β  The DM ruled this, as it made sense.Β  I tend to use this same rule with players when I DM myself....

hello, I absolutely love this piece. I am making a DM screen for me to use (mainly because I am cheap and don't want to spend money on the ones available on amazon or ebay). Is it alright with you if I use it on my custom DM screen? to put a finer point on it, for my personal, non-commercial use? Regardless of your answer, thank you for making such awesome pieces!!

Great details on the character design (although, boob window :/) and her pose. But this piece really shines in the environment. Really wonderful mood created with color, light, and atmosphere. From the position of the sun to the way the clouds are to the rocks in the foreground, this is a very well thought out landscape. Really lovely!

Say that again after the DM sends the character through a bramble forest and she emerges with scratches all over her cleavage. But, in truth, this is a really well thought out, interesting outfit with lovely detailing (like the cute little fringes on her tunic).
