Love this, however I do believe that most Nordic Valkyries with a one handed sword would accompany it with a shield. Although I have seen a couple with spears such as Sif

I love it, everything looks really well detailed
But it really bugs me out when wings don't even have the slightless sense of anatomy -_-

Well, when you figure out the anatomy of wings required to keep a human aloft, let us know. We'd all love to know how massive our wings get to be in the future. :3

It's actually a bit more about observation

Yeah, that tutorial makes a lot of sense. Certainly makes me wish I had more artistic talent than the average potato so I could draw a few of the winged characters floating about in my headspace... However, what occurs to me is that they might not be her wings at all, just parts of the armor. In which case, they could be as anatomically incorrect as aesthetics call for, since they could be balanced by gyroscopes and engines. Now, were this not sci-fi, I'd probably defer to your bird-wing wisdom. But we all know what the majority of sci-fi does to anatomy.

I understand, sounds like a reasonable explanation, if that's the case then I guess it's a well placed pair of wings
