Description
ok ok so this is my first emoticon...I know it's so lame and boring but I'm so proud of it because I'm a loser like that.Anyway, I've always wanted to try this out. What do you guys think? I don't know why I put his arms like that. Maybe he's presenting himself??
Did I put this in the right category?! Ahhh!
Anyway, I would love any advice anyone has to give...As long as you're not a douche bag about it. *shifty eyes*
edit: oh shiii I don't know how to make the background not white...

as it's not a moving emoticon you have 2 options to remove the background.
both need you to first delete the white background, so that it is just your emoticon man.
then you can either save it as a .gif that allows transparency or you can save it as a .png, either way would work.
I think with his arms like that, he looks like he's cheering.

Wow for a first try that's quite good Not much here that needs improvement. You just need to keep making more and you'll figure out new stuff by yourself ^^
Maybe you should have made the dark part of the emote a bit darker, so that it looks even more "3D"

Um quick question...What do I save a animated emoticon as so I can upload it to DA? I tried jpeg and it didn't work. Sorry for being a bother.

You save it as a gif
That's when you can choose for the gif to have "alpha transparency", which makes the background transparent.
if the emote is static then you can also choose to save it as png, but the thumbnail for it in DA will look like crap :/

It looks pretty good for your first. Maybe make the shading a little darker, but that's just my opinion. And if you want to make the background not white, well... it depends on what program you're using.
