The old TV series portrayed the Adams as weird -tho harmless- eccentrics, BUT the two movie revivals had them as dangerous psychopaths.
There USED to be a horror comic called THE THING, but it was composed of unrelated stories (anthology) and was a victim of the Frederic Wertham controversy.
