Ben and Gwen got a rematch with Ben finally defeating his cousin in round 10 by split decision.
And now that she and Ben parted ways, Gwen keeps herself training in the same gym as Timberly and Jade Chan.
However, Gwen's main sport is karate. And she is eager to show them why she earned her black belt.

Gwen soon fights Ben again, in Boxing, and defeats him in round 5, as Gwen has become much tougher and faster from the martial arts training.
Gwen soon gets a higher black belt's grade.

Jade- Timberly, I've learned that you fought against several tough redheads like Gwen.
Timberly- Yeah! If Gwen is so good in karate, I wonder how well she would fare against us in a MMA fight.

Timberly and Gwen have a MMA fight, and Gwen wins in round 8.
Later, Gwen and Jade fight, and Jade wins, barely, in round 9.

They go swim a while later.

Timberly climbed the 10 meter diving board and she screamed "CANNONBALL!" at the top of her lungs while plunging into the swimming pool.
Upon her landing, Timberly gives Gwen and Jade the biggest and loudest splash of their lives.

Gwen - ... Remind me not to tell Ben that you can do this. He'd try to outdo the cannonball... and he has an actual, living one.
Timberly *chuckles* Oh, right, one of his aliens.

Jade- I have a karate tournament next week.
Gwen- Despite always besting my cousin on boxing and wrestling, me and Ben are equals in karate. To the point that he also got a black belt.
Jade- He'll enjoy a lot competing against me since I've trained in martial arts with my uncle since my childhood.
Timberly- Gwen, will you participate in the karate tournament?
Gwen- I'm no longer competing, since there is no space left on my trophy shelf. Nowadays, I keep doing karate only for recreation and self-defense purposes.
Jade- Don't forget helping to rein your cousin's out-of-control ego. *Gwen laughs and smiles*
Timberly- Jade, I'll train karate with you. Because we had so much fun during our boxing and MMA fights.
Jade- Of course! You're one of my best sparring partners.
Timberly- Thanks Jade.
Gwen- Ben thinks the same about me.

Jade trains with both girls, and later does very well in the tournament. She even fights Ben... and defeats him without breaking a sweat.
Ben *groan* I need to train harder.

Gwen- Speaking of which, Rojo and her all-female biker gang are now wreaking havoc. Let's get into action!
Timberly- I'll join you, guys! You'll learn why capoeira is my favourite fighting style.

The fight goes well for the heroes. Gwen uses her magic to defeat Rojo, while the others stop the rest of the gang.
Ben *as Wildvine, tying 3 criminals* Heh, that was fun.

A few days later, Ben and Jade signed up for another karate tournament.
While Ben did very well in the previous one, Jade mopped the floor with him in the semifinals.
Nonetheless, Ben still won the fight for the third place.
This time, Ben and Gwen trained together, while Jade trained with Timberly.
Gwen felt proud of Ben for his determination to improve himself against a skilled opponent like Jade.
Ben and Jade reached the final round, which was very hard-fought match, ending with the latter's defeat.

Ben poses in victory... before fainting. While he won, he only did it by points and just barely, exhausting himself in the process. Jade is the one who helps taking him to the infirmary.
Ben- Nnngh... good thing it wasn't a street fight... or you'd have beaten me up..

Gwen- Hard to believe that you used to last only 10 punches against me.
Ben- Now, I've improved so much that our sparring matches often finish in round 10.
Gwen- Currently we have 10 wins and 10 losses against each other.
Timberly- Even without his Omnitrix, your cousin is tougher than he looks.
Meanwhile, Jade is busy trying to guide Ben's girlfriend Julie through the infirmary to make him a visit.

Julie- Yes, we did, but we'd been working on our communication so we're not doing it anytime soon.

Once Julie entered Ben's hospital room, she high-fived Ben for his victory against Jade in the karate tournament.
Gwen- It's nice to see that you and Ben still care for each other.

Ben- Yeah, plus I learned not to take her for granted.

Ben- That's right. We often go on dates simply because we enjoy each other's company.
Julie- When villains dare to interrupt our dates, Ship provides me with a battle armor to fight alongside Ben.

Timberly- Guess that's a necessity, since Ben doesn't have a secret identity and that makes him, and anyone close to him, into a target for villains and hostile aliens.

Julie had to say goodbye to Ben because she has a very important tennis match.
But not before she signed "Get Well Soon" on Ben's leg cast and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Hours later, Ben asked Gwen if she could pass him the remote control.
Once the TV was turned on, Jade and Timberly stayed in Ben's hospital room after discovered that Julie's rival will be the latter's friend Susie Carmichael.

As Timberly says, Susie wins the match; Julie does her best but Susie is just too good.

Ben- The first thing I'll do once I fully recover will be going out with Julie to cheer her up after her defeat against Susie.
Jade- Me and your cousin Gwen will prevent any villains from interrupting your date.
Timberly- I'll teach you two some good capoeira moves to improve your agility and flexibility.

Two weeks later, Ben soon arrives Julie's house, just in time for their date. Once Ben came through the door, Ship acted as an adorable dog around him.
Julie greeted Ben wearing a flattering red cherry dress which Ben liked a lot.
She smiled as she took a photo of Ben petting Ship before leaving her house holding hands in love.
Meanwhile, Gwen and Jade did a very good job learning Timberly's best capoeira moves.
Their training got interrupted after Gwen received received an alarm of the Circus Freak Trio doing a string of robberies.
Jade and Timberly get ready to assist Gwen to prevent the villains from ruining her cousin's date with Julie.

The girls defeat the Circus Freaks with ease, thanks to Gwen's magic weakening the freaks' powers so they depend on normal hand-to-hand fighting, something the girls do much better than them.

Ben and Julie cheered the girls when they watched Jade and Timberly tying Frightwig with her own tentacle hair after Gwen's magic left the Circus Freaks too weak to fight back.

Jade and Timberly even use Frightwig's hairdo to tie her teammates as well.
Jade - Frightwig can't use her powers to move the hair, but it's still as resistant as usual; it's great to secure the prisoners.

Ben- Oh, it was quite good. We had loads of fun.

Julie- That's a fun idea. But do you know how to play tennis?
Timberly- Yeah! I played with Rihanna in an exhibition tennis match against my friend Susie Carmichael and Beyoncé.
Gwen- I bet that Susie won said match.
Timberly- You're right, Gwen. But still we had lots of fun on the half-grass, half-clay tennis court.
Ben- Since Julie will be your partner, I think you'll defeat my cousin and Jade.

Gwen- Good point. But you're good enough to keep up with her without getting on the way, so your team is overall the most capable one in this case.

It was very even, until Julie achieved the tiebreaker, ensuring ther victory alongside Timberly
The two high-fived each other once the match was finished.
Having already good sportmanship, Gwen and Jade graciously congratulated Julie and Timberly after their defeat.
Predictably, Julie got a well-earned victory kiss from Ben.

Julie- Of course! I feel so honoured to pose for you, because your girlfriend Timberly showed me some examples of your best work in her smartphone.
Ben- I'll morph into Upgrade and merge with your equipment to make it far more advanced and futuristic than ever.

Ben - Good point; maybe I'd upgrade the equipment first, and we only have the session once you're familiar with how it works.

Alan- Even before your upgrades, my equipment is far more advanced than an average camera, thanks to the upgrades provided by Power Girl's boyfriend Hiro.
Ben- He must be as smart as a Galvan. We will have a fun test-drive of your newly upgraded equipment before you give Julie a photoshoot she will never forget.
Alan felt really amazed by all the new cool features on his camera now possessed by Ben's Upgrade form.

The day of the Julie's tennis photoshoot, Alan realized that Ben was right, since he did a better job than he expected.
Once the photoshoot was finished, Julie was adorably licked by her Mechamorph pet Ship.
Alan- WOW! I haven't realized that Julie has a pet similar to Ben's alien form Upgrade until now.
Once Ben returned to his normal human form, he told Alan that he has a very good idea for a new photoshoot with Julie.
Ben- Hey Alan! I'll merge with Julie's moped and Ship will envelop her body for creating a sleek motorcycle outfit.
Alan- That sounds fun, Ben.
Julie- I'll end up looking like Quorra from Tron: Legacy, except that Ship's lines are green instead of blue.
