Pretty freaking tragic about one of the greatest artists and directors of our favorite holiday specials, The Last Unicorn, Flight of Dragons,
Wind in the Willows and Lord of the Lords specials. Damn, how time flies, right?
Arthur Rankin, Jr., thank you for doing great entertainment in decades and I shall miss you.

Arthur Rankin Jr. and his longtime partner Jules Bass were also the brilliant minds behind all the claymation Christmas specials that have aired for years (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Little Drummer Boy, Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey, Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town, Year Without A Santa Claus, etc.). He was a great man and will be missed by all.

Oh wow! I didn't know he passed away. I always loved his early stuff he did in the 60's and 70's and also those above. He created so many unforgettable characters. He will be greatly missed.
