TBH images like this make me wish pennywise in the remake looked more like a standard clown. How much scarier would it be to see a genuinely well-scrubbed, primary colour endowed clown peel back it's glamour a little and expose a small shred of inhumanity? Or to see a genuinely happy-looking, normal clown biting people's arms off or chewing off their faces? The contrast would be so much more jarring.

This would have looked so cool if they could have pulled it off with Tim Currys Pennywise instead of the gaint stop motion spider.
