One of the Ancient Wonders of the World, the Chichen Itza pyramid (Yucatan, Mexico) is a mayan remnant that concentrates multiple key elements of the ancient civilization like religious views, astronomic skills, architectural skills and social structure.

On the the spring and summer equinoxes a shadow appears on the stair side that represents the descent of Kukulkan (feathered serpent god) that attracts huge tourist masses.

Apart from this amazing event, I love this pyramid because it is one of the elements that define our identity as mexicans.
