This isn’t one of those where I would grab all of the Sonic games, I was just thinking logically of how certain games can fit in the timeline. I didn’t do all because I wanted to do what connects with each other.

Sonic the Hedgehog – It’s obvious that this comes first in the timeline.

Sega Sonic the Hedgehog – This most likely takes place after the first game. People are well aware that Mighty was a prototype of Sonic, but did you know Ray was actually a prototype of Tails. Originally it was suppose to be 3 Sonics (Blue, Red, Yellow), but they decided to use Mighty and Ray (Don’t remember the reason).

Sonic the Hedgehog CD – This game takes place before Sonic 2, it is obvious. It was in production in Japan first, while Sonic 2 was being made in the U.S. later on, but Sonic 2 got finished first and then Sonic CD got released after.

Tails Adventure – According to the Japanese manual, this game takes place before Sonic and Tails met, so this makes sense for it to take place before Sonic 2.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – This game marks the first appearance of Miles “Tails” Prower.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (and Sonic & Knuckles) – According to the Japanese manual, it takes place after Sonic 2. This was suppose to be one game, but due to time constraints and possibly too large, it was split into 2 games and gave Sonic & Knuckles a lock-on technology, so you can play as how it was suppose to be played. There’s also a hack called Sonic 3 Complete, I recommend playing that to play it fully.

Knuckles’ Chaotix – According to the Japanese manual, this game takes place shortly or several months after Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I read somewhere that the island and Chaos Rings were suppose to involve a lost civilization, which could take place at the Mystic Ruins, but this is speculating from what I’ve read. www.theghz.com/sonic/chaotix/chaotix.html

Sonic & Tails (Sonic Chaos) – I’m pretty sure this takes place after Knuckles’ Chaotix since it really determines how the long the life span was between Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Knuckles’ Chaotix.

Sonic & Tails 2 (Sonic Triple Trouble) – It is a sequel to Sonic & Tails so it should take place after that. This is the first appearance of Fang the Sniper. By the way he is not a weasel-wolf; Touma, the person who created Fang confirmed that he is a jerboa.

Sonic the Fighters – Since Fang is in this, this should take place after. This is also the first appearance of Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar bear.

Sonic Mania – Everyone should know that is has to take place after Sonic 3 & Knuckles. They tried connecting this with Sonic Forces, so they can have Classic Sonic in there, a very poor excuse if you ask me. Sonic Adventure – This is when they updated the designs for the Sonic characters so they can be modernized.

Sonic Adventure 2 – It is a sequel to Sonic Adventure, shouldn’t be that hard to think about.

Sonic Advance – I used to believe that this and the 2nd take place before Sonic Adventure, but you got to remember that Amy hasn’t seen Sonic for a very long time. It makes sense for this to take place after Sonic Adventure 2.

Sonic Advance 2 – This is a sequel to Sonic Advance, so it would take place after that.

Sonic Heroes – Originally this was supposed to be Cream & Cheese’s first appearance, but it was decided that they would first appear in Sonic Advance 2 so people can know the characters. I wonder if anyone knows that Shadow’s amnesia was thought later on through development.

Sonic Riders & Sonic Riders Zero Gravity – I am believing these take place after Sonic Heroes since Shadow is nowhere to be seen so why not. Someone might say what about Sonic Free Riders? Fuck that piece of shit.

Shadow the Hedgehog – This takes place after Sonic Heroes since Shadow still has amnesia and finally has his memory returned. If only the plot wasn’t all over the place.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) – This was suppose to be a new start, erasing everything what happened previously, but since it’s now connected with Sonic Generations it’s in the timeline. I’m going to assume that Shadow and Rouge are both government spies that are helping out with G.U.N. in the game. I find it ridiculous that Shadow would join G.U.N. after all the crap he dealt with previously.

Sonic Rush – It cannot take place before Sonic ’06 because Sonic doesn’t know Blaze and it doesn’t make sense that she’s from the future since in this game, she’s basically Sonic’s dimensional counterpart.

Sonic Unleashed – Whatever happened with the Tornado 2? Who knows, Tails just makes another that looks similar to the first Tornado.

Sonic Rush Adventure – It is a sequel to Sonic Rush, but I thought of placing it after Sonic Unleashed. And it’s not in the main storyline because Marine is not in Sonic Generations.

Sonic Storybook Series – Thanks to Sonic Generations, they have to take place before Sonic Colors.

Sonic Colors – It’s after Sonic Unleashed due to Orbot’s 2nd appearance since he first appeared in the previous game as SA-55

Sonic Generations – It’s pretty obvious that this takes place after Sonic Colors coming Eggman’s explanation how he found the Time Eater.

Sonic Lost World – How did Eggman returned to his timeline, who knows? How did Past Eggman escape, who knows? Whatever happened to The Deadly Six after Sonic defeated them, who knows? Why has Tails become so useless after Sonic Adventure 2, who knows? How did Orbot and Cubot return to Earth, who knows? Why does Amy sound like a terrible impression of Minnie Mouse, who knows? Knuckles is nothing but a cardboard in this game. Why does this game exist, WHO FUCKING KNOWS?!?

Sonic Forces – The most disappointing fucking story I’ve ever experienced. There was so much potential for this and they threw it in the toilet. This game and the story were done last minute, which was why the game is mediocre. Ever since Sonic Colors, Sonic is just a cocky prick, which he isn’t suppose to be, he got his ass kicked by Infinite and is just making jokes once he sees him again. Tails is just incredibly useless with the other characters as they don’t do jack shit in the game and is just there for Sonic to talk to. Where are the Chaos Emeralds, who knows? What happen to Infinite, who knows? Whatever happened to Eggman, we never got a cutscene of him escaping, and so who knows? Why the fuck are they trying to make him indestructible as Bowser whenever he gets beaten. I think the stories keep being done last min. started happening after Sonic Adventure 2, they are placed no effort into them.
