Description this is a screen capture of the gumi character within cinema4d. i'm currently taking 3ds max in school, but i keep going back 2 my first love. the gui is so much more brilliant dont u think? and b4 anybody asks, its that wide because of the dual monitors. i'm spoiled. i know. shut up. texturing is gona b hot. you'll c.

Yeah, I can't resist importing stuff back into c4d and editing points. the interface just makes it so much simpler.

Do you use body paint for your texturing/uvmapping, or max's mapper?

just recently started getting into bodypaint because i figured if cinema is this intuitive, bodypaint must b also. but so far i've only used max's because thats what i was taught. i find everything in max difficult tho. just started gettin into maya 2 and so far, even tho its supposed 2 b more complex than max, i find it more intuitive. i'll def dive into bodypaint and maya more after i finish my final. right now i'm just tryin 2 get her done with what i know

Yeah, max seems a little ass backwards in most of its features, but animation it kicks ass, and I heard that it's character studio app is pretty good, but I've yet to mess with it.


The uv functions of bodypaint are really useful. 'relax' is a godsend for basicly anything you need to texture organic.
