Description As most of you know, DC Comics has not just being known for its storytelling, action and character development in film/comic/animation, but if you didn't know, most of its music was acclaimed. The composers that I have listed have composed music for DC. I will also put the status of them either deceased, retired with a ✝️ or 🚫, ⚠️ for unknown or ✅ for likely. and reasons why

✅ = Likely
✝️ = Deceased
🚫 = Unlikely to return/Retired
⚠️ = Unknown

Danny Elfman (Batman 1989, Batman Returns, Justice League 2017, some peices for Batman: The Animated Series) - 🚫 Unlikely - Danny Elfman made a disastrous score for Justice League which led to heavy criticism by the fans/audiences of DC. Some people have described the score "copied" from Marvel films hes done like Spiderman, Hulk and Avengers: AOU. Danny Elfman has also being criticised for his "cheek" saying that his Batman theme is the only Batman theme made, meaning that he doesn't respect Hans Zimmer, Junkie XL, Christopher Drake and Shirley Walker. However we must remember that Danny Elfman did make great scores for DC, inculding Batman 1989 and Returns.

Elliot Goldenthal (Batman Forever, Batman & Robin) - 🚫 Retired - Goldenthal won an award for Batman Forever and was even nominated for another good award for Batman & Robin for good music, however due to the negative reception of both films, Goldenthal is considered retired from composing superhero Scores.

Shirley Walker (Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond) - ✝️ - Deceased - Shirley Walker was remembered for her epic scores for DC such as Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm, BTAS and Batman Beyond. Sadly Walker died in 2006 after a short battle with a stroke she experienced two weeks before. Walker was the first female composer for the DC Comics music tracks. She was then succeded by Lolita Ritmanis

Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Music consultant to the DCAU/DC Timverse 1992-2007) - ✅ - Likely/returning - Hans Zimmer is the most famous composer for DC annd the most acclaimed for his emotion of his music, power and action. Zimmer is mostly known for his orchestra and drums and choir, Zimmer retired briefly after Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but after director Ron Howard spoke to him about don't avoid a genre hes successful in, he got offered a role to compose music for the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 film by Patty Jenkins.

Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman 2017, Aquaman 2018) - ✅ - Likely - Gregson-Williams surprised many people. Everyone thought because people are so attached to Hans Zimmer, Williams would do a really bad job, we were proved wrong. Williams was also praised for his emotion and power in his music, espeically for the likes of Wonder Woman/Aquaman.

Christopher Drake (Injustice Series, DC Animation) - ⚠️- Unknown - Christopher Drake was mostly praised once again, for his emotion in DC music, he was praised for having some infulence from Hans Zimmer. Drake tried to implement some tracks that are infuelnced by Hans Zimmer, like Batman: Arkham Origins. however at the same time, Drake tried to implement his original music aswell, while using someone elses. At the moment Christopher Drake's latest DC composed was Injustice II (2017), Drake has not composed an animation feature since TDK Returns (2012). Some fans like me are still waiting for him to score another DC Animation film.

Frederik Wiedmann (DC Animation New 52 Movieverse) - ✅ - Likely - Wiedmann despite being committed, Wiedmann has not being received well by fans of DC. Due to his non-memorable scores, however Wiedmann replaced most animation composers are leading composer for DC Animation, something that not many seem to care much about.

Michael McCuistion, Lolita Ritmanis and Kristopher Carter (DC Animation Films, DCAU, Teen Titans) - ⚠️ - Unknown - the trio of Michael, Lolita, Kristopher has worked with each other for years since Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, their reign for composing some great peices for DC ended when Batman: The Killing Joke arrived on animation in 2015. All 3 of them despite being praised in the past and working on Young Justice Season 3, It is unknown if we will ever see the trio work on DC Animation films again, Justice League Vs Fatal Five is expected to be their next film.

Junkie XL (Batman V Superman, Justice League 2017 originally) - 🚫 -Unlikely to return - XL was a hit and miss to DC Fans. but overall he was praised for composing a good piece for Batman in Batman V Superman 2016, XL was praised for his drumming and loud music and choir for Batman, however he is unlikely to return due to the fact, he departed Justice League 2017 and was replaced, XL admitted that Justice League 2017 was extremely difficult and he wanted to be a hollywood known composer, this is where he departs for the 2018 films Tomb Raider instead. Junkie XL no longer is the assistant to Hans Zimmer. But when XL was the composer for JL 2017, XL wanted to have the Justice League: The Animated Series theme but his own version in the film, however this was cut shortly after he was replaced by Danny Elfman.

Benjamin Wallfisch (Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman, Shazam) - ✅ - Likely- Wallfisch isn't going anywhere, wallifisch is the man that conducts the music written by Hans Zimmer mostly, but also he is training to learn his own, hes the new assistant and main assistant to Hans Zimmer.
