Description
Since the news of Dan Dido leaving as DC President which so many people are happy about, and Justice League DARK: Apokolips War is the last film in the New 52 Animation Universe. I bet some of you are wondering, where will the DC Animation go next.ThereΒ has being so many questions and unknowns, but as a DC fan and news reporter.. I can honestly say I am uncertain. DC has done 32 animations in total officially but if you add films like Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo, LEGO Batman movie, DC has done at least over 40-45.
So... the question is why is DC possibly getting a reboot? Well for starters lets talk about the upcoming film. SUPERMAN: MAN OF TOMORROW. This film is set to focus on Superman's origins and eariler years, The film is a standalone solo film and isn't apart of a shared or larger universe in DC Animation.
The film was rumored to reboot DC Animation, so pretty much ignoring what DC has done like New 52, TDK Returns, Superman Unbound etc and starting again. most reasons was because DC Animation has being declining for ages in terms of quality and it seems DC wants to restart and make DC Animation to what it was once.. - GOLDEN, GREAT and BREATHTAKING. While many films like TDK Returns, Batman, YEAR ONE, Superman Unbound was good. it is clear DC won't want anything to do with the old films.
We are now in 2020. A new era and a new decade and a new generation for DC. DC will want to focus on new films, new stories and new characters and not dwell on the past. DC has had a lot of reshuffling since Batman V Superman and Justice League 2017 failed. These two films affected not only live action films but DC As a whole in comics, animation, TV and more. WB/DC are looking for ways as best as they "CAN" to please everyone. just like Marvel.
So the final question is. What comics or what do you want DC to do? Leave it in the comments (Rebirth isn't an option, so don't even ask for it)

I doubt they will reboot the DCAU.Β However, DC has announced Batman:Β The Adventure Continues, a new comic that will be a continuation of Batman:Β The Animated Series.

this isn't about the DCAU by Bruce Timm, this is about the original movies dating back to 2007.

Oh, I see.Β It could happen, seeing how DC keeps rebooting their comics' universe (and some of the movies are based on stories from said comics).Β But then again, if the New 52 movies end, chances are we could get movies based on the Rebirth line, as well as more miscellaneous films a la Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five.

no they're not doing rebirth either, there's no indication for it. Seems they're doing what they're doing for live action films, basing it on standalone stories and not... a shared universe.

Well, I always viewed the standalone stories as the best of the DCAU movies (I mean, Warner Bros. managed to cooperate with Viacom and we got Batman Vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.Β Imagine if they can cooperate with Allspark Pictures for a DTV movie adaptation of the crossover between Justice League and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.)

some of them have gone downhill in recent years, Batman: The Killing Joke I didn't like at all, not because of the batgirl/batman sex scene, I just think it was boring, uninteresting and not worth watching.
Gotham By Gaslight was alright, but not great, but then Red Son I heard good things about.

WB/DC didn't see that, Justice League was NOT successful at all... it was pretty much on a $300 million budget, and only made 600 million back, thats a bomb. Justice League was supposed to make pretty much a billion.

yes it is, in fact, from what proof we have gathered, Justice League was more then what we all think it is, its like nearly 500 Million in total of its budget. think about all the CGI, special effects, reshoots etc.
it didn't make.. any money back, thats a fact, there is no denying anything. the film failed, it was pulled from cinemas early and even WB calls it a failure. you can't accept that? Tough fucking shit.
