EA has confirmed that once again, another game they were publishing has being cancelled. It was intended to be an installment in the Star Wars Universe as an open-world singleplayer game.

It is very unknown on what you could do in it, who could you play and also what gameplay there is. As of 2019, we are NOT getting an open-world singleplayer Star Wars game. There is another game in the works however titled "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order" which is also published by EA but developed by Respawn Entertainment.

Follow Up:-
An official early-ingame development photo has being revealed i0.wp.com/www.fortressofsolitu… , it seems the game was to be set in the times of the war between the Empire and the Rebels. The character seems to be a smuggler.

My Opinion:-
Lets face it over the last few years with Star Wars in gaming, it has not done well at all, with Battlefront having two reboots and got mixed-negative reviews for both and the massive criticism for microtransactions. It is very unknown what the future of gaming of Star Wars could hold. There is only one game that does quite well if you are committed to it and thats Star Wars: The Old Republic by Bioware which is an open-world MMO. Even if this open-world Singleplayer game is made, the fact is EA will just throw micro transactions in it.
