Katniss and Pitta-Bread* in the Hunger Games arena.I based them on the painted portraits of them on the UK covers and the website.
*I know for a fact I'm not the only one who thinks Pitta-Bread every time I see his name. The fact that he's a baker makes the whoooole thing more ironic.

Holy hell, this is beautiful. Katniss looks appropriately tenacious, and I love Peeta's sideways glance. I'm not really sure what he's thinking. The dark feel is fantastic. Perfectly sums up the book

Wait a sec...isn't Peeta's hair blond? It's lovely artwork, but I'm super nitpicky about hair color.

I put a bluish filter over the whole thing after I was done painting which made all the colours look a lot darker (Katniss doesn't have black hair either does she?) I thought Peeta would be a pretty dark blond anyway so...
Oh yeah. and the mud spatters didn't help.

This is priceless, really. . . there's feeling (this ain't no picnic in the forest), the strokes are well defined, Katniss is seriously in her element. . .while Peeta. . . well he's making sure nobody kills them.
What a wonderful world! I can smell and hear everything in this piece. All this to say, it's made my day.
