"The Dead Crow"14 x 17 in
Watercolor and Ink
Bristol Vellum
Done in about 2 hours, I enjoyed doing it alot more then I have anything else in a long while. Oh yeah, no reference used, that part made me really happy, that realization that I might actually be growing as an artist.

I really like this piece... great job with the shadows & overall texture of the bird. The blood spatters are quite convincing... not sure about the cracks though. The feet & head look really nice for not using any reference. Interesting beard on your profile... going for that "Gillette ad" look?

Thanks for the crit. The cracks were really an after thought, it looked like to much empty canva.
As for the beard, well I miss him as he was my good friend, but when your second job requires you to shave you might as well have some fun with it.
