Description
Traditionally drawn and inked sketch of my characters Sev and Devon striking aggressive stances back to back.I was continuing to try to refine Sev's design while I felt like placing him in a picture with Devon as she's the only other character I've got polished.
Ultimately, they will be two characters that share common traits as they're both the primary "fighters" of the group of heroes in my story. Both have military backgrounds (evidenced by the similarly outrageous boots
), and will be the only two to show proficiency with arms or in combat while the others reflect a non-militaristic side of the denizens of Mobius.I started to color this digitally, only to stop myself as I realized it was making the image look like crap >_< So that'll likely never be finished... maybe just a greyscale shading, but I'm not liking colors with these lines.

You know, I hate reviewing something in my gallery and seeing I somehow missed a comment, but it was so darn long ago it'd be out of place to reply now as a courtesy?
Screw it, I am anyways! Thanks for the compliment and enjoying the image bud, it's the outfits and details I love doing. Because if you can manage to make them unique without just modifying the crap outta something similar to something else that's already done, it makes a character much more your own and likable to others ^^ At least that's what I've observed myself liking in other people's galleries.
So again, I'm glad you think I did a good job on that element in particular
... even if it is two years later... >.>

I hope my characters will seem very dynamic together. Part of why I really wanna start partialy drawing my comic at least. I want to draw them in live interaction, not just stale poses. It's something I want to pay special attention to, it just brings comics to life when the characters look and behave like actual people with each other.
Glad the lineart stands out to 'ya. I still desire a lot more out of my traditional inking, but I'm happy with how this ultimately turned out. Although that thicker pen I outlined with bled pretty bad

Well, I gave it a try with pencils (dunno if the scanner helped or hurt it...), but I'm afraid I'm teh suck at traditional colors apparently.
