What's a Mawashi? By the way, I think you should come up with hidden abilities for your fakemon.
This is a really cool idea.

I just have to say that your artwork is fantastic. All the PokΓ©mon you've drawn are very nice. I don't know if it's just me but I get a sort of "alien" vibe from most of the pokemon, you know how generation 6 was about beauty and generation 5 had a medieval motif.
;D

But there are no peaches in the PokΓ©mon world, just Pecha berries

How do you know there are no peaches?

I don't "know", but it's very obvious, just like the fact that there are no cats in the PokΓ©mon world, only Meowths, Skitties, etc.

JoshKH92 In reply to Glitterizer [2013-07-02 12:32:30 +0000 UTC]
But they eat apples etc in the anime. I think they've even been included in games at some point, yet there is still the Leppa berry. Also, Meowth is known as the 'Scratch Cat Pokemon' so cats do get a mention (whilst not directly included).

The anime doesn't count, it's full of inconsistent bullshit.
Also "Cat" could just be the classification for, well, the cat-based PokΓ©mon. Just like we have the general word "Fish", but each fish gets it's own name (bass, karp, etc) they have "Fish PokΓ©mon" wich are Goldeen, Finneon, etc. Doesn't mean there are "real" fish, which wouldn't make sense.
I mean, it's obvious that most things in the PokΓ©mon world are alternatives to what we have. We have animals, they have PokΓ©mon. We have karps, they have Magikarps. We have peaches, they have Pechas. Having both our regular animals/fruits and the Pokemon world ones kind of kills the magic of it all.

Ok, that's all well and good, but now I'm confused as to what you meant by your original comment regarding peaches? You can't have a peach based PokΓ©mon because there are no peaches in the PokΓ©mon World?

Glitterizer In reply to JoshKH92 [2013-07-04 10:35:55 +0000 UTC]
Well, from an outsider's perspective, you can, since there are cat-based PokΓ©mon even if there are no cats there.
But from a "PokΓ©Biology" perspective... Y'know, WHATEVER. Your Fakemon is fine.

How do you feel about Cherubi then? It is clearly based on cherries, and is classified as the Cherry PokΓ©mon.

That bothers me too! Haha. I guess it's OK since there's an oficial PokΓ©mon like that, I just wish it wasn't so.

Awesome job man! quick request; I'm creating a fake pokedex containing both original species I've come up with and species from various Deviantart users. I would like to use several of your pokemon for the fakedex if that is ok with you? I promise I'll give you full credit for those species chosen.

(Lol the last one reminds me of the radish spirit from Spirited Away!) Pretty cool design! I wouldn't use it, but I inherently don't like grass-types for some reason. Although, I'm sure it'd be a fan favorite!

Well, I bothered replying because you're comment didn't really make any sense to me. It didn't help me in any way, you didn't even refer to the deviation itself, which poses the question: 'Why bother to comment?'.
