Description
Based on guard dogs and the controversial subject of Dog Fighting, but with a more innocent overtone (akin to Combusken/Blaziken) Species-wise, based on a Pitbull, Boxer, and Great Dane. The colour scheme is in homage to the red and blue corners in boxing.--------------------
Basic Stage: Scrapull - The Scuffle Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Scrap-Pitbull
Evolves: lvl 22
A boisterous PokΓ©mon, it can be hard for rookie trainers to control. It will readily stand off against foes much larger than itself.
-------------------
First Stage: Boxurge - The Tussle Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Boxer-Surge
Evolves: lvl 42
Its enthusiasm for training makes it popular in fitness gyms. A fight between two BOXURGE could last for days.
--------------------
Second Stage: Danine - The Ruthless Pokemon
Type: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Scrappy/Intimidate
Name Meaning: Dane-Canine
A large and menacing pokemon, often used as a night guard. Its huge forearms block attacks to its torso; only when it fully trusts its trainer will it let its guard down.

Is he a physical hitter?
I'm gonna call him Scooby! I always name my pokemon... Seriously; you should get paid a million dollars for EACH of these genius ideas! The guys who work at Pokemon now can't create NOTHING!

Nice portrayal of them. It's interesting to see people's takes on pit bulls for me, since our neighbor has two of them and we have one of the pups from the litter from the female. Gentle as lambs, if a bit lacking in the smarts department. Great job though :3 It's adorable in its own way.

Thankyou very much! Its great to hear that from someone who actually has one! I would of never thought of them as gentle!

They are gentle and funny as well to watch. Poof, our pit bull, is smart and its hilarious watching her when she comes barreling in from outside. She's scared of the dark, the little chicken. Lol.

Your art is always outstanding! I actually have a question too; what program do you use to make your drawings look so proffesional? I lack experience in these things, haha!

You should vary more with colours and shapes through the evolutions. so that they don't look too much like each other but still keep certain characteristics.

JoshKH92 In reply to MessyPaperCut [2010-10-05 18:20:01 +0000 UTC]
Well, I thought they each looked distinct, considering they're all different species of dog, and the colours are really the only thing that makes them similar, if one was red, and one was blue, and one was green for example, would you really think they were related?
π: 0 β©: 1
MessyPaperCut In reply to JoshKH92 [2010-10-05 19:12:50 +0000 UTC]
No.. it's just that you use the exact same colours for each evo, every single evo has spikes around they're necks and they also have a red orb each on the tip of their tails which look exactly the same.
The point is that the line as a whole does'nt look like pokemon.

well thats fine but consider ponyta/rapidash, Chillarmy/Chilachino, Voltorb/Electrode as some of the many examples of pokemon who hardly change upon evolution?

Great designs. I also had that worry with my own fighting dog Pokemon but as you said they have a fighting cock Pokemon so its not like Pokemon is all that concerned with completely forgetting people use to bash of them for promoting animal fighting
Anyway love the designs great job on their legs and color schemes
