A continuation of my photo project on life in North Philadelphia. I was awed with feelings of hope and irony by the beautiful rainbow sun-ring shining vividly above the desolate ghettoized landscape. A street man that I talked to the other day described the rainbow as God's promise to never again destroy man's civilization with his own action. He said God instead told us from that point on that it would be our own hands that destroy. This sky seemed to send a similar message as I traveled these streets.
