I am resubmitting this piece without the journalistic approach. To some, I believe, my black and white conversion confused what the foreground subject was. I did it this way because I feel that it brings out some fabulous textures. It is the enormous tire of one of the tractors used to clear this forest. So in this submission I will just say, take it how you will. I like it but maybe others don't. Oh well.

And don't worry, those of you who like pretty, colorful pictures, who don't find much interest in the political/social/environmental hum-drum side of photography. I will probably be getting more into my older style of stuff again for a while. I am just trying to expand my focus, and figure putting it on here won't hurt, as someone may find it interesting. thanks
