Often the scene in Kathmandu, an 800 year old temple is encapsulated by 10 year old office buildings and billboards. The capital of Nepal, a millennia old kingdom, is now a fabric of ancient vernacular Hindu and Buddhist architecture, and modern office and commercial urban cityscape. Much is preserved by this interweaving of times, but much is often buried beneath the jumble of national and social identity.
