Description
I got a pad of those new lined strathmore boards and I wanted to see how they took ink. I did this up real fast and started inking it. WEll it tool the brush nice. the ink just sets right on top of the board. when i broke out the old hunt #102 quill I was disappointed. the board ripped up a bit more than I thought it would. So to make a long story short I inked this with brush only. I also tired a bit of a new style. on this piece I left out all hatching to see how it would look.Related content

thanks Tim. I have really been workingon my inks, but inking is one of those skills that watching some one else do really helps toward becoming better. Have you ever thought of doing a video? That would be awesome!

Ive been asked a few times to do one but, to be totally honest, the thought of working on camera gives me the douche-chills. I dont even like sketching at conventions because I cant stand to be watched while I work. I did a TV show some years back and they insisted on filming me as I worked. I was so nervous that I broke the nib right on the page...on camera. Fortunately they were far enough back that you couldnt really tell what I happened. I just played it off and pretended to keep working. But basically, thats just not my cup of tea. Have you checked out Joe Weems's video? It AMAZING. I highly recommend it.
Happy holidays, buddy. Hope youre doing well!

Love all the little details you've worked in there. Good work overall. My only criticism would be that his head is a little on the small side.
