Well, honestly, most of the commercial work tends to be mundane corporate stuff--infographics, advertisements, that kind of thing. Not the most creatively fulfilling work, but it pays.  There'll be a "fun" project every now and again--the type that makes you go "Wow, this sounds pretty cool! I've got ideas for this, and the client is happy with them!"--but those are rare...for some reason....

I'm sorry you get alot of the boring stuff dude I'd love to see some of the stuff you've worked on Btw, do you do animation commissions at all? I would understand if you didn't with how much time you seem to put into it! Just curious though

Heh heh! Aw, no worries.  
Animation commissions! Erm...I'm presuming you specifically mean animations commissioned by non-media/entertainment industry people? Well, yes, I do accept animation commissions, but I rarely ever end up working on any because...well...since animation DOES take so much time and work, it ends up being far more expensive than most people realize.
That's why you need the boring commercial jobs. Gotta fund your hobbies somehow, right?

Totally understand!! I'm kind of pausing on commissions myself, I did a piece for what I thought was a lot but ended up being less than what the time I put into it was worth, ends up being less than minimum wage! Hard to come up with prices people are willing to pay. I'm glad you get the boring commerical stuff despite it being boring
