Description This was a fun little project I wanted to play with. She started life as a sparkle fakie and I layered glitter mixed with modpodge gloss all over her until there was a nice glittery layer all over her.

She has a simple moon and stars symbol painted with acrylics. Her eyes are also painted with acrylics and sealed with triple thick gloss.

Her hair is 2 shades of rd nylon in purple. She features several pearl pins and a star pin.

She has a necklace with a irridescent moon charm which also attached to her light chain. Her light is a LED light which is removable to replace batteries. It is attached to the chain so it won't be lost inside her.

You must do a tutorial on LED lights. I've had an idea for an On-x from Rainbow Bright and the Start Stealer but I know nothing about LED lights. Show me!!!

ok I will see what I can come up with - would love to hear about your idea - maybe we could do a trade and I can make it for you.

Well I have a baity Lemon Drop and I wanted to make On-X
The Diary of Jack Rivera vol. 3

When On-x is flying his legs fold up like rockets
[link]

But otherwise he is basically standing in the collectors pose.

His mane lights up and the light moved down the mane from the top when he talks. I wanted to use a red clear-ish resin or something to make the mane and then have LED lights underneath that to cause it at the very least to light up. Of course it would be cooler if the lights moved from top to bottom like in the cartoon but that might be too complicated.

Also I always had the impression that the eyes glow so I wanted to see if I could get the same led thing going with those, although i suppose Red twinkle eyes would also work.

That was my idea in a nut shell. What do you think? Pretty insane, right?

That will be really cool! The LED lights i used on moonlight sparkle won't necessarily work because you have to turn them on by turning the endcap. I have the perfect resin stuff for you - it is kinda a pink clear color but could easily be colored red. When you are ready to make your guy I can give you the name and brand of it. Hobbytown sells it. I will look a little more into the light so I can find one that will have a cord and switch.

Hobby Town? I'll have to call around. there are only 3 in the general area, and by general, I mean they are all about 20 to 30 minutes away, so I'll want to make sure they have it in stock before I drive out there. What's it called?

It would be cool if the "button" that's on On-x's chest in the movie was the button to make the LED lights work, but as I said, I know nothing of electrical stuff and LED lights.

I'll let you know as soon as I'm ready. I've got to finish up a few more ponies and then I can think about starting it.

Just LED light 2 pack. I found this website that sells a bunch of led lighht up stuff and think that some of this would be perfect for on-x - it is very reasonable too - kcherryka used some of the el wire for a project recently (non pony). [link] - they sell kits too so no sodering required.

I think I'll be getting started on this project soon. got some clear resin stuff, although I have no idea how I'm going to mold it..... and she said I could have it and use it. So I'll probably just have to figure out how to do the lights after that. I'll have to look into those LED lights you suggested.

Well, Ligress, that was going to let me use the clear resin stuff: her and I aren't talking right now so that's probably out. I really wish I would have found out what it was called before we fought..... oh well.

What stuff have you been using recently?

well, two women living in the same house can be difficult. Is it difficult to mold the Sig Polyeter Glass resin? Is there any tutorials on how to use it?
