These are actually just inked with a Pentel brush pen, and the colors are copic markers.

Ok, but what did you use before you inked and colored it traditionally? What pencils?

It's actually just a mechanical pencil. One I've used for drawing since I didn't need to use it for English or Physics classes anymore. Nothing special.

what lead sizes do you use?

Well, I'll break it down a bit further here. The lead size will depend on your mechanical, or you can use a straight lead sharpened pencil. But I use an HB .5 mm lead, only because it was the size of the mechanical pencil I grabbed out of our junk drawer in the house.
The paper I use is Strathmore 300 series bristol board. These cards are the size of magic cards, and can be bought on the cheap rather than buying large bristol and cutting it down to size.
The whole reason I love using bristol board is because of the ink brushes I use. Normal paper tends to act as a sponge for india ink, and the lines bleed out. Much like a sharpie will on any type of paper. But bristol board leaves a clean crisp line value which is the whole aesthetic I'm going for.
I used to use normal paper and a pilot precise, but I didn't have nearly as much fun inking until I picked up the brush, which believe me, took a few years of practice before I felt comfortable showing anyone my work. Practice and repetition were the answer for me.
Hopefully that helps, but the real answer I think you're looking for, is you should use the tools that are right for you.
Cause then it will be fun no matter what you draw.

Thank you for clearing everything up. Does the bristol board come in pads like that of a sketchbook? If so, do they come in medium and small sizes?

Bristol doesn't appear in a sketchpad form all that often. Bristol is pretty thick, and usually comes in pads...much like construction paper, but around 24 pages per pad.
This is where I always buy my paper at, and it's a third of the price as any craft store. Shipping is a bit expensive, so buying in bulk is recommended.
Hope that helps.
