Description
Sandshrew are commen little pengolins that live mainly in dry sandy areas.

They are well known for their tunneling caperbilities and can make enormous tunnel systems that stretch for miles.
In some quarries sandshrew are cursed as they can cause large mudslides when their digging weakens the walls of the quarry.

They have strong hides which protects their soft underbelly when under pressure underground and to save them from predators. They can roll up into a hardened ball (around the size of a basketball) and roll at high speeds to get away from danger or even to attack.

They genrally eat insects and have a long tounge to scoop up ants with. occationally youll see termite mounts filled with holes where sandshrew have dug into them.
