Description Persians are proud and beautiful creatures.

Flaunted by the rich and famous it is said to be a sign of welth and prosperaty to own one.
Many people who own meowth never allow them to evolve because they are so big and love to claw things, plus they have a strong temperament.
Persians are diffucult to train as they are so proud, winning their trust is a task in itself. Once they do trust you, they are amazingly skilled battlers if trained correctly.

Once they evolve the goldish pentant on their forehead shrinks and crystalises. It appears to be a red jewel but actually they are clear solidified fluid, and the pink comes from light passing through it and bouncing back off the pink flesh on the other side.
When aroused or angery, persians 'jems' become darker as blood rushes to their head.

They are about the size of a couger and are amazing hunters in the wild. It is usually the female persians who hunt for the group, while the males guard the meowths at home. Persians occationally breed but tend to let the older meowths have the kittens and then raise them.

Hundereds of years ago a persian was worshipped so much in an ancient culture, it was thought by the people to be a rencarnation of one of their gods. Even to today you can see beautiful carvings and wall paintings done of and for the godly persian. When it died they buried it with 4.8 million pounds ($5 mil) worth of gold and jewels, along with 12 live nidoking guards who died in the tomb, to protect it and guide it into the afterlife.

Did Persians appearance really come from a Persian cat because that's what I'm hearing from people and also their saying it came from that type of cat but was made the size of a cougar I'm confused it's a great picture and all but can you explain and yes I'm slow at these things so please don't insult me on that but great job on the picture respond soon

Ive always known persian cats to be big and fluffy, siamese cats look more like the pokemon persian. I just decided to make it look more like a cougar because of the size, plus if it looked too much like a normal cat its size in the picture could be confused

i wanna know in pokemon how do they tell the difference between a pokemon and a animal?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoshuaDunlop In reply to smashmaniac2008 [2009-06-29 18:39:01 +0000 UTC]

Well pokemon have been/ are registered as pocket monsters by the pokemon administration, I.E- Pokemon inc. They run anything to do with pokemon, the tournements, centres, marts etc. They are deemed pokemon if they have:
1: Good training and fighting caperbilities.
2: Hightened abilities (sight, smell, speed etc)
3: If they have super abilities (electric bolts, fire balls, lazer beams etc)
4: Have a hightened and sped up healing rate than other animals.

essentially pokemon are animals but are deemed able to battle. Some animals just register as pokemon, eg, 'normal' type pokemon. they may only have 2 of the qualifications to be classed as a pokemon but if trained well could still defeat a pokemon with super abilities. A lot of animals are not classed as pokemon as they contain none of the above and can not be entered into competitions. Animals classed as pokemon also have advanced healing caperbilities, far faster than our own and some animals. Its an evolutionary trait passed on in some but not all. That is why a human could never battle a pokemon.

lol thanks i think ive thought about this a lot as a kid, when i was big on the cards and game. My mind kinda filled in the blanks. I guess thats why i can think of this stuff so quickly now im older, plus having a good imagination

smashmaniac2008 In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2009-06-29 21:31:36 +0000 UTC]

so by that definition lets say an ordinary dog can never be a pokemon because he only has 1 of those abilities

Poor Nidoking...they never had a chance. LOL.

Anyways, awesome work. I think it would probably be really cool to own a Persian in real life because of your description.

Awesome work.

The idea of modelling it on a lion(ess) is a good one and it looks great for it. I would've just done a biggish cat.

Ah, nice detail about the gem on its head

Honestly, I don't think this is your best work.

It's back looks almost separate from it's front-just the angle, I guess. The tail. too, I just can't figure out why- it looks . . . I dunno, strange.

And IMHO, I think you should have either gone with lion or persian cat- not floating somewhere between. -but that's just personal preference.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoshuaDunlop In reply to BrunetteMenolly [2009-04-25 07:29:52 +0000 UTC]

The angle is fine, i know it might look strange but i worked this off a photo i did of some lions in london zoo. the tail looks a lil funny but cats tails can curl round in that direction. Persians are really lion/house cat mixes anyway, but i did that to have something that looks like it could like in your house while at the same time be a real contender on the battlefeild, a giant house cat didnt really seem ferocious enough lol

BrunetteMenolly In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2009-04-25 17:04:51 +0000 UTC]

Ya, I figured you used a reference, but still, you have to look at it alone, some, too, b/c people can't see your reference pic.

This is true!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

JoshuaDunlop In reply to BrunetteMenolly [2009-04-26 15:40:53 +0000 UTC]

i know people cant see my referance pic, but if the angle is the same in the photo then the angle cant be unatural cant it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BrunetteMenolly In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2009-04-27 19:42:29 +0000 UTC]

with art, you never know. Photos can looks strange too, sometimes- like you said before, optical illusion

Oh, and btw, when I was talking about lion vs. cat I was only thinking of the face . . . don't know if I said that, though. XP
