The Clefairy are very timid creatures.

Feeding off mainly insects they are usually found in dark caves and damp areas, Clefairy have powerful claws hidden beneath their fur, which are used to climb rock faces and trees.

They use their tails not only for warmth in the dark caves but for attracting a mate- the bigger the tail and tufts, the more likely a female is to choose that specimen as a mate.

They have amazing eye sight in the dark, but when exposed to bright areas their retinas can be damaged as they are very light sensitive. Many newly caught Clefairy are blinded by amateur trainers battling in a highly lit area.

They evolve using the radiation from a moonstone, which sparked the myth that they are from space. it has since been discovered that Clefairy has a distant ancestry with Jigglypuff; the moonstone has the same gene-altering effect of Jigglypuff that it does on Clefairy.

Clefairy are rare Pokemon, and are incredibly powerful if trained correctly. They can use a rare power called metronome, bringing forth energies from other dimensions to allow it to perform different energy moves available to other Pokemon.
