Description
Abra are now quite rare creatures. Not many people know this but abras were originally from the colder regions and were brought to Kanto from a distant land. They bred successfully and adapted well to the warmer climate but soon became highly sought after by many psycic trainers. Over the past 50 years their numbers have diminished and are now quite rare.
Abra have a seemingly unique ability called teleportation. They can create a psycic bubble around themselves so strong that they can deconstruct and reconstruct their atoms to different areas. Scientists have studied this and have used the knolage gained from Abras to create the teleportation systems for pokeball transfer and even the original creation of the pokeball.
Abra are very shy creatures and it is not actually known where they live but are usually seen hunting for berries or insects in open grassy areas. Unless your an advanced trainer, are given one, or your just plain lucky, it is doubtful you would ever catch a wild Abra.
Hope you like it

I think that if Pokemon were real, Abra would be considered some sort of marsupial It just looks like one.

Spankin' Abra! You've got its mental Neo-esqueness spot on!
Lived in colder regions, huh? How could something without fur survive in a cold place? Or did it just change to be less furry?
Ha, of course people copied off some pokemon. We did it with bats, right?
Abra must be one sadistic pokemon. I mean, they taunt you into being determined to catch them, you go to all this work to catch the darn thing, often getting frustrated, and when you finally get it, it turns out all the blasted pokemon can do is sleep and disappear. I bet all the abras are secretly laughing at us.
Though they're not nearly as sadistic as those kadabras. Now, they're a mean pokemon.

not all animals that live in cold regions have thick fur, they use body fat and thick skin to trap heat in cold areas.
your right, i hated abras in the game, but was determined to catch one!

I can imagine something blubbery like a walrus living in a cold place, but abra's a skinny little thing, how does it keep warm?

very thick skin, its skin almost looks like armour. within the skin is a heat holding gel that allows it to store large amounts of heat, kinda like a heat trap for the body.

Yeh, possibly my favorite pokemon yet, sucks to catch,
in the early games, I needed an electric type, because they were fast,
and because they can stun things, like a pikachu. In the later games,
when there were special pokemon traits, I got a pokemon that held the
pokemon in place so they could not flee... ANYWAY
Abras are one of the laziest pokemon after the snorlax, they sleep for
18 hours a day, and they occasionally teleport while sleeping. Nice pose. I like this
picture because it looks like it's sleeping/meditating. It looks like a mole.

I love the random little facts you throw in, like how their teleportation ability was utilized to make the pokeballs and pokeball transporters. Very neat!
