Description Just a mess around I did about a month back.

EDIT-

Added some colour in there for a more dramatic image and some helicopters too, but not sure if the image is too busy now?

Looks awesome, I know that's not what you intended but at first glance I thought this was art for John Carpenter's The Thing. Like when they found the ufo landing.

I love the piece, but I have a few criticisms. First, I feel the egg is a little too brown and that the a slightly lighter or more robust color would offer a deeper feeling of mystery, plus, if it were a reddish tint, it would feel more intimidating, or, maybe blue for a more intelligent appearance. Also, I don't feel like those lights are big/intense enough to reveal the beast inside as they do, plus, I don't think that the monster should have to be veiled to create a menacing feel, I thin that you could leave the creature to the viewers imagination, and, instead, just have more military-esk vehicles/buildings surrounding it, giving the beholder the impression that eggs inhabitor should be feared. This is all the opinion of someone who is pretty un-artistic, this is just what I think MIGHT improve the picture, I don't actually know if they will since I have very little experience.

This is really great, the composition is awesome: very mysteirous with the egg and all the vehicles.

I think one of the best thing about this is the glow on the egg and the way you can see inside the egg.
One thing though: wouldn't you be able to see what's inside the egg with these spotlights, especially when they come from all sides.

I really like this and I would most certainly like to hear the story behind this piece ;D
