Description Kabuto were, until recently, extinct.

They are part of a family of animals that started off pokemon evolution. They were some of the first animals to have a metamorphosis transition into a new, more complicated organism to survive, or in other words, sped up evolution.

Millions of years ago they lived in their hundreds on the bottom of lakes and the ocean, feeding off plant and dead animal matter. Their shell is amazingly powerful and can withstand great pressure, which aids them in deep water but also in battle.
They have fake eyes under their shell which glow red, their real eyes are on top. The red lights are designed to lure small bottom dwelling insects and fish under the shell where they will be eaten.

Scientists recently had a huge breakthrough in DNA reconstruction and looked closely at cloning. It was only when they found a frozen kabuto in a deep underwater cave that they had an almost complete DNA strain to bring it back. They artificially inseminated Kingler eggs with the kabuto DNA and a few weeks later a baby kabuto was born. For a while they could not breed as they only had one subject to clone from and there would be complications if any breeding took place, that is, until they found another body.
This one wasn't as well preserved, as it was only the shell but there was enough DNA in it to clone another, by combining it with the first. After that they started to breed them.

After they found the kabuto a huge hunt began for more prehistoric remains that can be reconstructed.
A few more pokemon have since been found and reconstructed and scientists have been surprised how well they take to battling.
You cannot find these anywhere in the wild as they are only found in scientific research areas, but you can buy them for a small fortune.

Hope you like it.

I love the composition, its like your looking at an exhibit in a museum and then you notice something crawling at your feet... you look down and shout "WHAT THE HELL?" I love it.

Kinda gives off a sinister vibe too.

It is incredible what science has done. Again, I would love to have one of these, but I know I would not have the cash to afford it. And I doubt I would have the luck to find a fossil, but if I did...

You'd be the first I'd let know, so you could contine your research.

Question: Where is the Kabuto? I see the sign in the back that say 'Do Not Touch.'

Its supposed to be in a museum/ research lab like in the game. I just thought if one escaped, wouldnt it be ironic if it walked past its fossilized brother?

Brilliant, I love this concept of Kabuto! The description was highly informative, and the detailed information on Kabuto's 'false' eyes was great. Beautiful artwork, it looks just like it fell out of the crevice in the wall, as it came back to life. Lovely work.
