Description
I sat quietly in the dark moonlit forest. My camera sat on the tripod in front of me and a large blanket wrapped around my shoulders. The forest was quiet except for distant crickets. Fireflies gentle flashed in the undergrowth as I focused my lense.
Every year in late January, something very special happens in Viridian Forest. In the early hours, if your lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of an event called 'The fog of a thousand stars' where hundreds of Venomoth come to find a mate. The males shed bioluminescent dust from their wings that gently fades as it falls, creating a glittering display through the dark forest.
The males with the brightest and most dazzling dust win the females. If he impresses her, he must then finds a suitable tree to create a groove in so she can lay her eggs. He then fertilizes them and stands guard for a month until the young Venonat hatch. They are then left to fend for themselves and they fly north towards Cerulean cave.
Suddenly, ahead, I finally saw them. Quietly dancing through the trees, male Venomoth appeared, dropping waterfalls of luminous powder behind them with each beat of their wing. It was truly spectacular.

Great look at a rarely-seen Pokemon! I love that you don't just do the famous ones; you also pick those ones that got forgotten, even in the First Generation .
