I was just wondering, how can I center the text in the description of my photo? I thought there was a page
on dA that shows those codes, but I canΒ΄t seem to find it. PLEASE HELP!
Again, thankyou for all the support you are giving me

This was working for my deviantID for awhile, but then it decided to suddenly not work and everything on it was to the side again. I used the code ((and I have used it for everything else)) but now, it decided to have a stroke

the standard center command is no longer supported on most browsers, it is considered obsolete (commenting this since a lot of ppl are suggesting that)
and also div align is css coding, i am fairly certain image descriptions only support basic html (dependent on if you're a core user as well, i believe), not css.
css is only supported in custom boxes
idk what ppl use now to get text centered. i've gotten it to work by going into google docs and centering the text there and copy/pasting

Just had this issue but on the featured deviation-I copy pastedΒ π: 0 β©: 1
And removed rhe _ and replaced it with a space
it seemed to work fine, Iβm wondering if itβs something to do with the quotation marks because when I tried to type it out myself they were slanted, while the ones I can copy paste are perfectly vertical- anyway I hope this helps

It's not "div align", it's "p align". That "div" stuff never worked for me either-
π: 0 β©: 1
Beeroxxx In reply to Maripolifan [2019-03-31 23:49:39 +0000 UTC]
No, when I use "p align" it gives me a page break, as I've mentioned before.Β The whole div align thing only works if I drop that div at the end (close) of whatever I want centered.Β Yes it's weird, if I put it in front of a paragraph, it will only center that one paragraph, and I've read that it will center everything unless you put the < div > at the end of where you want it to stop, but in reality it didn't center everything for me, it only centered the one paragraph where I put it on. I'm guessing it seems to work differently for different people, might have something to do with the DA version you run, or which Windows you run or something else.Β Β Β
I worked from this link:Β Β deviantart.zendesk.com/hc/en-uβ¦

Maripolifan In reply to Beeroxxx [2019-04-04 15:52:03 +0000 UTC]
I have experienced the same with the p align thing. It only works on one paragraph at a time, but you can always copy & paste it.
Do you have DA Eclipse? Maybe it doesn't work correctly with that version, but idk

Could I get some help?
This coding format worked for me before, and I was able to center text on my deviantID.
However while doing some renovations I accidentally deleted all of my description, and now I can no longer center the text.
I've tried every other method mentioned in this comment section, but it still won't work (it still stays to the right).

Hi there, I don't suppose you could tell me how you fixed the problem? c:
My deviantID text isn't centering either- I remember having this problem at one point before, but I don't remember how I fixed it.
Anyway, I'd love some help with this!

Kiramera In reply to Nyanganronpa [2018-07-16 21:12:39 +0000 UTC]
Sure thing! I've actually had someone define the problem for me before, so I'll quote it here:
" The code is still < div align="center" > (but without the spaces), but the reason it won't go across the whole widget space is you have to have a line of text that's big enough to take up the whole space.Β
If you write a line of text that is big enough to take up the whole space, it'll center the text. If you don't want a huge line of text, you could probably achieve the same effect by making a transparent .png file that's long enough to stretch across the whole widget. "
Hope it helps!
